There is a myriad of companies, which shoots pre-wedding shoots locally in Singapore and in other countries. My husband and I had chosen to take our pre-wedding shoot in Singapore, so that we could bring our baby Burger around with us! In this post, I will be sharing with the details from the studio I went with, and the locations I chose!
Choosing a Bridal Studio
We chose this particular bridal studio, which I choose not to mention as they have already closed down, at a wedding fair and unfortunately, it was one of the decisions, which I slightlyyyyy regret as I ended up not really liking the photographer's edits BUT I have to say that it was truly a great package! Alternatively, you could a la carte your items - gown and suit rental, flowers, photographer etc, but I was truly lazy to go through all the researching. Knowing myself, I would have gone to great lengths to find the best bang for the buck, and that would definitely take a toll on me. Hence, I've chosen to purchase a package.
This package of mine costs about $3.6k (in 2019) and here is what it included (so you can compare):
Pre-wedding shoot photography (7 hours)
Free 30 pictures for the album - we ended up adding $1.4k more for 20 more pictures and that sounded really ridiculously expensive, but in fact, for studios like this, it is considered reasonable already!
Trial make-up, pre-wedding shoot make-up, actual day make-up
2 white gown, 1 night gown, 2 men suits (for both pws and actual day)
1 bed frame picture, 1 table portrait
Fake flower-bouquet (for pws), real flower-bouquet (for actual day)
Accessories (but wasn't a huge fan of that for pws as they were too bling for me, so I only wore on my actual day)
A few things to take note of packages:
If the price includes for the entire range of gowns or only a certain rack of gowns (some require you to add on for their 'nicer' gowns)
Prices for additional pictures chosen e.g. in my case, how much would it cost for the 31st picture chosen
Is transport provided by the bridal studio? Cos mine wasn't!
If the make-up artist is following you - mine didn't and hence, I had to bear with melting make-up and loose hair hahaha
Choosing Locations
We were true seekers of nature and we wanted all of our shots to be outdoors! Yes, we could have an option to take indoor shots, but we chose to go outdoors, and as a result, the gowns chosen, would need to be suited for outdoors too.
Here are the locations we chose:
Upper Seletar Reservoir
Seletar Aerospace Park
Joochiat (took us forever to find the lane that we wanted hahaha)
Baghdad Street
Canterbury Rd
Back up locations for wet weather:
Marina Bay Cruise Centre Carpark (wasn't really what I expected as we went there mid afternoon and the entire carpark was FULL!)
National Gallery (you could take pictures outside, but the inside would require a permit)
Victoria Centre
My husband had very nicely done up a 'timetable' for us to follow and as a result, we had a better idea of how long we could stay at each location.

Pictures taken by the Bridal Studio
They provided us with 160+ pictures, but we made do with these! There are more pictures but due to personal reasons, I'm not able to upload them here!
Upper Seletar Reservoir
Joochiat (took us forever to find the lane that we wanted hahaha)
Baghdad Street (yes, we went to this street, JUST FOR THIS WALL)
Canterbury Rd (perfect place for sunset shoots!)
Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload the sunset pictures :(
