Truly the happiest day of my life - my wedding day. The morning of my wedding was well planned by my husband with the theme of our favourite Netflix show - Money Heist! We are well obsessed by the idea of Money Heist and he managed to get suits and masks for his groomsmen to wear! In fact, I was pretty thankful that they wore that attire as it was definitely more comfortable than wearing suits in hot, sunny Singapore!

We thought long and hard about following the tradition of having a gatecrash, and in fact, we wanted to do without it as that would free up the morning, and be less rushed for us! However, what was the deciding factor was that many said that the morning gatecrash could possibly be the most fun (to watch...? hahaha, not really for the groomsmen oops!) segment of the wedding, and it brings back really memories when thinking of it! In hindsight, I would definitely say that this gatecrash was a common topic brought up during gatherings, and we would all have a good laugh about it!

We are thankful to have enthusiastic bridesmaids, who thought through different games, finalised them, bought the logistics and came really early to my place to prepare the games! Many would have thought that these games were typical, easy to plan, but there are just so many games to think about, and logistics to get! Without them, I don't think I would've heard the roaring laughters early in the morning!

We are thankful to have really sporty groomsmen, who were willing to do whatever it takes for the groom to 'successfully' fetch the bride (obviously it would have been successful anyway, but they were still super game about it!).

We had about an hour to play the different games as we weren't particular about the timing to pick the bride or leave the house. Hence, the timing was pretty much based on how tight the programme was for the day!

Last but not least, we are thankful to our photography crew - Kenny, Daniel and Jeremy - from Wanderlust Dream, who captured precious, and the most candid, moments without us even saying anything!

Games we played

Choose the 'lip stain'

There were several lip stains on a board, extremely well-designed by my girls, and for every try, a red packet was needed (of course I knew there was this game and I had to get my groom to be ready to 'pay for each try'!). Unfortunately, I was busy doing my make-up in the morning and none of the lip stains belonged to me........ hahahaha, pretty expected maybe!?

Yoga Poses

My girls prepared a slideshow to show the different yoga poses needed and some of them really took it to another level and tried so hard that their money heist jumpsuit tore! Now you know that the quality wasn't the best! For the group who is 'voted' to have the worst pose, would then have to face the punishment of eating the typical 4 flavoured food - sweet, sour, bitter and spicy! They would have to draw lots on where they'd like to eat the flavoured food - you can explore different body parts, depending on how game your boys are!

4 Different Flavours - Sweet, Sour, Bitter, Spicy

My girls made an extra effort to buy the ingredients one day before to ensure freshness, and they also made sure not to mix gross stuff together, lest the boys get diarrhoea! We tried to weave in the eating into the games so it didn't feel like 'another game'!

Typical Twister

Boys just had to be in really awkward positions! Here you can see how they tried to wear the jumpsuit to play but it was simply too hot and they decided to just wear the grey top!

Dancing to the Mathematics Dance

Extremely apt for me and my husband isn't the best dancer but he really tried his best when I was watching the video. I must say, some form of dancing during the gatecrash would definitely be a fun one!

Picking Up the Bride

My poor husband, with perspiration trickling down his forehead and his back, still was not let go at the door. He had a simple task to do by writing a few traits related to the letters of my name! After which, he was blindfolded and had to choose the bride - here I am extremely grateful to my brother, who was willing to dress up and pretended to be the 'other bride'. HAHAHA

Of course, he successfully did it with sweat and tears and I was deeply impressed with the entire morning!

After the "heist", we made some time for photoshoots at my place, and drove towards Changi Beach for another shoot! The shoots were really fun, though we were all perspiring like mad! Tea ceremony was then held at my husband's and my place!

Managed to also find time to change into my Money Heist attire and had some of my favourite shots taken! It was TRULY A DREAM TO HAVE THESE PICTURES! It felt like the morning truly came alive!

Will be talking about the evening of my wedding - solemnisation and banquet - in another post. Oh yes, it was definitely one helluva rush!!!!!
