Maternity shoots are typically taken between Week 30 - 35 when one’s belly is truly HUGE and obvious. However, I wasn’t particularly a fan of taking pictures with a swollen face, huge arms, and looking thick (haha!). Therefore, I decided to capture memories of the smaller and cuter bump, with a less swollen mummy.

As a westie, I chose to head to Jurong Lake Gardens for my photoshoot as it was a relatively new park and it was really near to my place! I’ve heard great things about this park and I wanted to see it for myself. I was thankful to have the help of my girlfriends, whom I tortured to wake up at 6 in the morning to catch the morning sunrise and to also carry my bags for me. This could not have been possible without them!

And yes, as you can see from the picture, I can't even draw my own brows hahahaha. Truly a make-up noob and had to get my girlfriends to help! It also turned out to be a good choice to head there early as people started swarming the place at around 9am and the sun was ruthless! We found ourselves perspiring continuously and had to take several breaks to cool ourselves down!

Heat aside, it was still a fun and lovable experience with the help of my girls, and post processing the pictures personally just made it all more memorable :”)

Not forgetting my dearest baby Burgs (my eldest son!!!!) who accompanied me throughout this shoot and had to walk on some painful grounds!

Here's to my ever so supportive husband who has been there for me every step of the way throughout this pregnancy. You have sacrificed your sleep by moving in with me, and you have lived up to every promise that you made prior to having this baby girl :") WOWEE!

You have been impressing me daily with your antics, with your unconditional love and our dearest baby girl seems to know by rewarding you with minimal cravings HAHA I am deeply thankful for her minimal cravings too as it meant that I would not be wanting random food that I have never enjoyed, or be burdening her daddy to purchase food at random times. I pray that your minimal cravings translates to being a non-picky eater when you are out!

Nothing beats the time when you saw me in pain, and you did everything you could to alleviate my pains :") You have been nothing but proactive, and slowly learning how to take care of my baby burgs (p.s. not that he doesn't want to, but more like I am too obsessed with my dog to have anyone else take care of him) when you saw me struggling with that huge bump of mine.

In the next 2 months, our baby girl will be out and the true test of parenthood would have arrived! Would we be able to survive life without a confinement nanny, and living all my ourselves? We shall see and we shall update you too! :")
